Operation Santa Claus gives children of Caddo and Bossier Parishes a Christmas to remember.

Since 1984, public safety agencies in Caddo and Bossier parishes have teamed up with KWKH radio station – now part of Townsquare Media – to help fill childrens wishes throughout the area.

Last year, hundreds of disadvantaged children were given Christmas presents, thanks to the help of public safety departments and people like you!

The only way to get on the list is to be nominated in person by a law enforcement officer or member of the fire department.

• Through the airways of Townsquare Media and the Internet, volunteers with Operation Santa Claus work to find sponsors who will donate toys or money to help fill the children’s Christmas wishes.
  
  

• Unwrapped Toys may be taken to any Citizens Bank location or Townsquare Media located at 6341 Westport Ave just past Cracker Barrel in Shreveport
  .

• Once toys are donated, the Shreveport Police and Firefighters, and Bossier Sheriff’s deputies who nominated the children for the program play Santa, delivering the goodies in their police cars and fire trucks in time for Christmas.

With your help we'll put big smiles on little faces again this year because we believe that no child should have to do without at Christmas.

You can help by providing new unwrapped toys or monetary donations. You may drop off your unwrapped toys at Townsquare Media on Westport Ave. in Shreveport, all Citizens National Bank locations and at any of the following live remote broadcast locations. Make monetary donations here on the Operation Santa Claus website.

As every year, you can call Call 687-GIFT that’s 687-4438 and get the name of a specific child and the specific toy they would like for Christmas.

Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 is the last day for those that sponsored a child to have the gifts in to OSC.
